Caldwell sits to the west of Nampa and is the state’s sixth largest city with a population of 56,000. Located in Idaho’s wine country, it is home to the state’s oldest institution of higher education, the College of Idaho (which celebrated its 125th year in 2016). Caldwell is the only place in the U.S.A. to boast two “Top-25 Rodeos.” The city is in the early stages of revitalizing its downtown area, taking advantage of scenic Indian Creek that flows through the middle of it. The multi-million dollar revitalization includes a water fountain, space for festivals, an ice skating rink and outdoor gardens.
